Easter at the Nove Hrady Smithy
"Easter at the Smithy" It began in 2004 as one of the first actions aimed at presenting Easter traditions and typical regional dishes from the region. From the very start, it quickly became a local tradition with visitors returning each year. It is always held on Holy Saturday (the Saturday before Easter). Visitors can learn to make the typical knitted birch whip, bake easter breads or taste typical South Bohemian Easter treats. Children can decorate Easter eggs or sugar-paint the much-liked Czech gingerbreads
In 2022, the Easter event will hapen as planned;
no restrictions due to the COVID pandemic.
