Blacksmith Potato Day

This tradition more or less was born by accident. At our museum in Kojakovice, every year we celebrate "apple pie day" as end of season action. We did not have anytyhing between that action and Mikulas (December 6), so we tried a special action around potatoes as major part of the daily food but also as tool to play with.

It was a big success, so we continued with it as an annual tradition. The smithy itself is active a well, and in the blacksmith house, people can taste al kind of food variations with potatoes. The large living kitchen is used for children to make critters and stamps from potatoes. room they can produce among other critters potato and potato stamps. In the parlor again not miss the potato
